Job Description
As a Contract Manager, you are a key figure in driving client success and operational excellence. You serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients, building and maintaining strong relationships while understanding their evolving needs and business objectives. Your role encompasses both strategic and tactical responsibilities: you contribute to annual business planning, monitor budgets closely, oversee financial and technical delivery, manage timelines and project milestones, lead and develop your team, optimize internal processes, and ensure safety compliance across all operations. You report directly to the Business Unit Manager, providing regular insights and results that inform business decisions. This is a role that demands both commercial acumen and technical understanding, particularly within the HVAC sector, combined with strong interpersonal and organizational capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients, building and maintaining strong, collaborative relationships
- Understand client needs, wishes, and business objectives, and translate them into actionable plans
- Participate in the development and execution of annual business plans alongside colleagues
- Monitor and manage budgets closely, maintaining financial oversight and accountability
- Assume final responsibility for client delivery, encompassing both financial performance and technical quality
- Manage project planning, timelines, and deadline adherence to ensure on-time delivery
- Motivate, coach, and develop your team in a supportive and collaborative working environment
- Actively identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and foster a safety-first culture among team members
- Report key insights, results, and performance metrics to the Business Unit Manager
Candidate Profile
We are looking for candidates who combine commercial expertise with technical knowledge, particularly in the HVAC sector or related project management environments. You should be a driven professional with a genuine passion for client relationships and a keen eye for both financial and operational detail. The ideal candidate brings a collaborative mindset, strong communication skills across all levels, and a commitment to creating a positive team environment. You are organized, proactive, and thrive when taking initiative on complex tasks and projects. Above all, you prioritize safety and understand its critical importance in all business operations.
Experience & Expertise Required:
- Proven experience as an HVAC project leader or in a commercial management role within the HVAC or related technical sector
- Strong financial acumen and experience with budget management and business planning
- Demonstrated ability to manage client relationships and understand commercial requirements
- Experience leading and developing teams in a technical or project-based environment
- Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance requirements in the HVAC or industrial sector
