Functieomschrijving
For my client, a well-established independent advisory firm with multiple offices across Belgium, we are looking for a Director Estate Planning to strengthen the Family Office team in Hasselt.
The organization supports family businesses, entrepreneurial families, and high-net-worth individuals with tailored advice on wealth structuring, estate planning, and business transfer. Their multidisciplinary approach combines financial, tax, legal, and strategic expertise, always with a strong focus on personal service and long-term relationships.
Role:
- Manage complex client files related to wealth and estate planning.
- Analyze legal and fiscal issues and independently propose pragmatic solutions.
- Draft advisory reports in collaboration with internal specialists.
- Maintain professional relationships with notaries, bankers, and external advisors.
- Review draft deeds, contracts, and other legal documentation.
- Stay informed about legal and tax developments and monitor market trends.
- Contribute to the further commercial growth of the practice.
Profile:
- Master’s degree in Law or Economics; additional specialization in taxation or estate planning is an asset.
- Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in estate or wealth planning within a bank, law firm, consultancy, or notary office.
- Strong expertise in inheritance law, matrimonial property law, gift and inheritance tax, and business succession planning.
- Knowledge of corporate law and corporate taxation is considered a strong plus.
- Client-focused with a pragmatic and solution-oriented mindset.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a collaborative approach.
- High level of discretion and integrity in handling confidential matters.
- Flexible, proactive, and able to adapt in a dynamic environment.
