We are currently working with a highly regarded specialist law firm that is looking to appoint an experienced Employment Law Solicitor to join its growing team in Bramhall, Stockport.

This is an excellent opportunity for a solicitor with solid employment law experience, or a commercially minded solicitor looking to specialise in employment law within a respected niche practice environment.

The successful candidate will join a collaborative and close-knit team focused exclusively on employment law, handling a varied caseload for both employers and employees across contentious and non-contentious matters.

The Role

The position will involve managing a broad range of employment law matters, including advisory work, tribunal preparation, and client representation. You will work closely with a diverse client base, providing practical and commercially focused advice while delivering exceptional client service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing a varied caseload of employment law matters independently from instruction through to resolution
  • Providing strategic and commercially focused advice to employers, employees, and HR professionals
  • Preparing Employment Tribunal matters from start to finish
  • Handling client enquiries and converting prospective new business opportunities where appropriate
  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships
  • Supporting the wider team within a growing specialist practice
  • Ensuring compliance with SRA standards and maintaining high-quality service delivery

About You

  • Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales
  • Ideally 5+ years PQE within employment law
  • Strong technical knowledge and the ability to manage files autonomously
  • Excellent communication and client care skills
  • Commercially aware with a professional and proactive approach
  • Comfortable working within a collaborative office-based environment

Desirable Experience

  • Previous Employment Tribunal advocacy experience
  • Existing client following or business development capability
