Salary: £40,000–£45,000 per annum, depending on experience
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Working Hours: Monday–Thursday, 8:00am–4:30pm | Friday, 8:00am–3:00pm
Overtime: Optional overtime available

About the Role

A well-established plumbing and heating company is looking for an experienced and skilled Plumber to join their growing team. Based in Irvine, North Ayrshire, the successful candidate will work across Ayrshire and Glasgow on a varied range of high-quality residential and domestic plumbing projects.

The Role

The role will primarily involve working on high-end residential developments, completing new-build plumbing installations from first fix through to final fit-out.

The successful candidate will also undertake a varied range of domestic plumbing work, including everything from small plumbing repairs and maintenance through to complete bathroom renovations in customers' homes.

This is a hands-on role requiring excellent technical ability, strong attention to detail and the ability to manage work independently while maintaining high standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out new-build plumbing installations from first fix through to final fit-out.
  • Work on high-end residential developments across Ayrshire and Glasgow.
  • Complete domestic plumbing repairs, maintenance and installations.
  • Diagnose and repair plumbing faults efficiently and effectively.
  • Carry out bathroom plumbing installations and contribute to complete bathroom renovation projects.
  • Install and maintain sanitary ware, pipework, water systems and associated plumbing equipment.
  • Ensure all work is completed to a consistently high standard.
  • Communicate professionally with customers, site managers and colleagues.
  • Manage workload effectively and ensure jobs are completed within agreed timescales.
  • Use digital systems to receive and manage jobs, communicate with the team and record completed work.
  • Complete relevant job records, reports and documentation accurately.
  • Maintain a professional approach and represent the company positively at all times.
  • Follow all relevant health and safety procedures and industry regulations.

About You

The ideal candidate will be an experienced plumber who takes genuine pride in their work and consistently delivers a high-quality finish.

They should be able to work independently, manage their time effectively and communicate confidently and professionally with customers, site managers and colleagues.

Reliability, excellent timekeeping and strong organisational skills are essential.

Essential Requirements

  • Proven experience working as a Plumber.
  • Experience with new-build plumbing installations.
  • Ability to complete work from first fix through to final fit-out.
  • Experience carrying out domestic plumbing repairs and installations.
  • Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage workloads effectively.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality workmanship.
  • Professional communication and customer service skills.
  • Reliable, punctual and well organised.
  • Comfortable using computers, tablets, smartphones and digital job-management software as part of daily work.
  • Full UK driving licence preferred.
